How is age in years, months and days calculated?: Full calendar years are counted first, then full months, then the remaining days. Someone born on 15 March is exactly X years and 0 days old on 15 March.
What about a February 29 birthday?: In non-leap years, the age rolls over on 1 March, since that is the first day after 28 February. The day count itself is always exact.
Is the age calculated for today?: Yes, the reference is today's date on your device. Every time you open the page, the result is current.
Why does my age differ from the 'days divided by 365' shortcut?: Because of leap years: a calendar year is on average 365.25 days. This calculator uses real calendar dates, so the result matches how birthdays actually fall.
